You don't get many villains better than Christopher Lee, and he played a good one in "The Man with the Golden Gun." Roger Moore settled into the role, and he had a good squaring-off against this newest threat to Great Britain and the world. The most lasting result of this film, though, was the rise of one Hervé Villechaize, who played Nick Nack, one of the most eccentric henchmen of the entire franchise. He became famous subsequent to this film for his cry as Tatoo of "De Plane! De Plane!" on the popular Ricardo Montalban mystery series "Fantasy Island." "The Man with the Golden Gun" wasn't a great film, but it passed the time and kept the franchise going, which, during the 1970s, was quite an accomplishment in and of itself.
